Bad ass power
So much power . I love it. It can grind cement, cut stone, cut metal. And it doesn't tire or get hot.

Great grinder for the price
I bought this grinder primarily to grind the top layer (1/8") off my patio and driveway to prepare them for resurfacing. For the little bit I've done so far it worked well. However, I cannot remove the cupped concrete disk that I attached to it. I contacted Makita and was to have one person hold the tool with the locking device down while the other twisted the disk loose. Didn't work. I posted the problem on Amazon and got 3 responses all stating the you have to have one person hold it while the other person beats the disk with a screwdriver and hammer to free it. Why would anyone design a tool with this major drawback?

I understand this grinder has a lot of torque. As a woman without big arm muscles, am I going to be able to handle this grinder? I want to grind a concrete floor.

New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
  • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
  • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
  • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 60 days.
