The Makita LXT Lithium-ion Warranty applies to both new and factory-reconditioned Makita tools. Every Makita ® 18V and 14.4V LXT Lithium-Ion Industrial Power Tool is thoroughly inspected and tested before leaving the factory. If you are not satisfied with Makita 18V and 14.4V LXT Lithium-Ion tool within 30 days of purchase, return it and Makita will provide a replacement or refund. Every Makita 18V and 14.4V LXT Lithium-Ion tool is warranted to be free of defects from workmanship and materials for the period of THREE YEARS from the date of original purchase. The Makita LXT Lithium-ion battery has a limited one-year warranty. Should any trouble develop during the three-year period, return the COMPLETE tool, freight prepaid, to one of Makita's Factory or Authorized Service Centers.If inspection shows the trouble is caused by defective workmanship or material, Makita will repair (or at our option, replace) without charge. This warranty does not apply to Makita Accessories, like flashlights.

Nothing against this kit specifically but these big kits would be much easier to keep safe in a hard shell case instead of a weak duffel bad. It seems all the major manufacturers have stopped putting these kits in hard shells, most likely to save a few pennies. Other than that I've been a big Makita fan for the last 3 years and this set doesn't disappoint.

Very high quality design. Heavy weight reciprocating saw, not cheap. Hammer drill is heavy duty, not a light weight drill. With the six piece set they should have provided a third battery.

The circular saw and reciprocating saw have such impressive power and performance, that I was ready to purchase the jigsaw immediately. All of these tools perform as well as corded tools. The drill and impact driver are essential for every Journeyman carpenter.

batteries last a long time compared to other 18 volt tools I have used in the past. impact driver is strong and feels great in my hand. the circular saw has a perfectly located blade engage button you press down with your thumb. I made 36 cuts across 2x6s and 4 cuts across 2x10s with one battery. the drill is adequate but could be stronger.

I got tired of my Milwaukee and DeWalt 18V NiCad sets, they're good, just tired of the weight. Lith Ion is the way to go if you use tools for your livelihood. Makita 18V's have the best selection of add-on's I've found of the different offerings, at least for my needs. It's best to buy at least one other complete tool or kit so you'll have extra batteries. The Lith Ion batteries have held their charge for long periods and perform well with less weight and good operation life.

1/4 driver is beyond what I was expecting, drill/driver haven't used much because I am just in love with the 1/4 driver, Circular has good power & balance, grinder seems to be powerful enough to end up leaving my 110 grider to a future of dust collection, recip. saw is most impresive at the blade change design (no allen tool to loose, flashlight I have yet to use.

After dumping a competitors Lion set because of it's bulkiness, weight, and battery life, I decided to give the Makita set a try. Over the past month I've been trying to wear these Makita tools out and cannot do it. I have no complaints and am thoroughly impressed with all the pieces in this set.
