Makita compressor. One of the best on the market in my opinion.
This is got to be one of the best compressors I've ever purchased. I like the quietness of the compressor. And I can do a hell of a lot more work. I don't have to wait for it to build up pressure after my first six or seven nails. The design and the look of it is awesome. I love this compressor.

I am a general contractor and use this portable air supply for all my air tools.
Also, I use one of these to take on my RV trips, for tire inflation and tow truck air bag inflation.

Great air compressor and extremely quiet.
I use it in my shop attached to a hose reel, yet it's still portable so I can take it to the site. It works for all my air tools, nail and brad guns, pinner, air drill and saw.

Worth its "weight"
A little on the heavy side but I have no problem carrying it one handed up and down stairs. Can keep up with my framing gun all day long. My wife doesn't have to wear ear plugs when I run it in my basement shop.

Nice air compressor
I bought this compressor to replace a Craftsman 15 Gal. 4 HP that was incredibly loud. This compressor is much quieter and is obviously a high quality unit. Could have a conversation with it running. Have not used it a great deal to power my air guns but feel it will do fine. It recharges very quickly but I would expect that with the size of tanks that are on it. As others have said it is surprisingly heavy to where it may be a little questionable how portable it truly is. Have not tried to put it in my pickup yet but it will be a chore. I chose this unit for the size and design as it can't be rolled over and protects all the parts except filter really nicely.

Awesome, quiet little machine.
I needed a portable air compressor for plasma cutting and this one works perfect and is surprisingly quiet.

New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
  • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
  • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
  • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 120 days.
